About This Station
Welcome to Dover, Tennessee weather center. The original weather site and station (Davis Wireless Vantage Pro) went online in February 2004. It has functioned 365 days a year, 24/7. In 2011, the station was upgraded to a Davis Wireless Advantage Pro2. The station consists of a wireless, solar-powered integrated sensor suite (ISS) with anemometer and a remote console. The console is interfaced with the weather server running Weather Display version 10.37R b09. The server sends data to several sources including WeatherUnderground (updated every 3 seconds) and to this site (updated every 5 seconds to 5 minutes depending on the parameter).
A wireless Panasonic camera serves as the weather cam. It is online 24/7 facing north-northeast. Image Salsa takes the data from the weather station and places it on the weather cam image where it is uploaded to the site.
